Safe Church at Hammonasset

safechch1In the Fall of 2014 the New England Synod Council enacted a policy for all Synod sponsored events where youth are involved. This policy is meant to provide safeguards and procedures to ensure the safety of all persons, especially youth. Below are the requirements for all congregations who attend Hammonasset: 

            • Every Congregation must have one adult leader who has reviewed the New England Synod Safe Church Guidelines, Website, and Training Video available at the Synod Safe Church Resource Web Page
            • A letter on Church Stationary signed by the Church Pastor and/or Council President certifying that the Adult Leader has reviewed the Safe Church Resources must be sent to the This email address is being protected from spambots.             • Every adult advisor must read and understand the Hammonasset Safe Church Guidelines and agree to abide by them
            • Every adult 18 and older must be registered if they are attending Hammonasset. No exceptions
            • Every adult, 18 and older will be checked with the National Sexual Offender's database. Any adult who is listed in the database cannot attend Hammonasset
